About ME

Hi, I’m Vanessa!

I’m so happy you’re here!

I started this blog to help mom bloggers with their blog’s finances. As a mom blogger, I realized how easy it is to lose track of your blog income and expenses.

I have been blogging since 2016, sharing blogging tips with mom bloggers. Then in 2018 my mom asked me for help with her bookkeeping for her convenience store. With a background in accounting, I dove into her Quickbooks and it reignited my love for numbers.

I became a certified professional virtual bookkeeper and launched my bookkeeping business – Boren Bookkeeping, LLC and started Bookkeeping for Mom Bloggers shortly after to help others!

After 5 years of running my bookkeeping business I also realized that there are so many mom bookkeepers out there that need help with the tech side of their business. Since I have knowledge in both bookkeeping and blogging, plus I can relate to being a busy mom, I felt drawn to branch out to help them!

Now I like to focus on helping mom bookkeepers streamline their business by:

– Helping them save time, energy, and money on finding qualified clien- Increase their income by showing them passive ways to make money online with their bookkeeping business

– Show them how to scale their business with online tools

– Help them make their bookkeeping business full virtual (if they want)

– Keep their business moving forward as technology continues to move forward

– Show them other avenues of income potential besides more clients to help protect their business during economic hardships

– Offering online templates for them to use in their business or their social media platforms.

A Little Bit About Me

I am from a small town in Kansas where I lived for most of my life. My husband and I went to high school together before we started dating in college. We have been married since 2009. We have a beautiful teenage daughter and, after 10 years of trying, a beautiful sassy toddler! In 2015 we moved to Coastal Georgia and although it has been a big change from Kansas it has been so amazing and we love it here!

Why I choose to Blog

When I was a new mom I struggled to juggle everything that comes along with being a full-time working newly-wed mom.

It was very hard to send my new little baby off to daycare so I could go to a job I hated. I know I am not alone with this either. Many moms struggle to be the best mom they can while still bringing in a paycheck.

After many trials of trying to find a way to be home with my daughter and still contribute financially to the family, I finally found blogging. I fell in love with blogging and it has been my side hustle ever since.

How Bookkeeping changed my life

As I mentioned I started my bookkeeping business in 2018. I initially started out by helping my mom and it grew from there. I was able to make as much money as I did working full time for someone else in half (or less) the amount of time working for myself from home.

It has allowed me to be the mom I have always wanted to be!

I am able to work from home and be there for my family at the same time. This freedom has allowed me to be home full time with our youngest (who we worked so hard to get!) and be there for our oldest as she signs up for every sport/activity she can think of!

Being a mom is the hardest most wonderful job out there. But sometimes you lose sight of who you are as you are busy caring for everyone else. Bookkeeping & Blogging have been my way to keep a piece of me growing while still being the mom I want to be for my family!

How Bookkeeping for Mom Bloggers Can Help you

Mom Bloggers:

If you have been blogging for long you know that it is way too easy to get caught up in all the courses, ebooks, and online coaching deals that promise success. Don’t get me wrong I believe that you need to invest in educational tools to help you get to your goal faster. However, speaking from experience, you can easily spend way too much and get stuck in the learning zone.

Now there is another side to that story. Once you figure out your groove and start earning an income from your blog it is again too easy to lose track of where the money is all coming from and where it is all going.

My job is to help you track your blog income and expenses so you control them instead of them controlling you.

Mom Bookkeepers:

Some of the challenges of building your bookkeeping business is finding clients, managing your time, and streamline workflow. You can quickly learn everything you need to know to be a professional bookkeeper. However, to become a fully virtual bookkeeper with multiple streams of revenue, quality clients, and an efficient business plan is not so easy.

That’s where I come in. I will help you over come those hardships and make your bookkeeping business run more smoothly by setting up processes to streamline those areas!

My job is to help you run your business not the business run you!
